Rod and David have lived on Darley St, Newtown since 1996 and this house is our home. We had been looking half heartedly for a place to buy (and live) for some time.

Two months before the Gay Games in Novemeber 2002 the real estate agents gave us notice the house was to be sold. BAD timing!

We had to work hard, move fast and have our excellent lawyer to push all the right buttons for us to put in a bid to buy the house pre-auction. On August 20 with six hours before the hammer was to fall we finally got the consent we needed to say it was ours and not have to go through the hell of an auction. This was of course a miracle because we wouldn't have to move, we knew its faults and with the all consuming Games looming there was no time to spare for anything but work.

We have commenced some basic renovations for now and are contstanly dreaming of where to from here. Take a look inside.
